Where it all started
Our company's founders originally set out to find a water purifying solution which focused on everyday challenges. It wasn't long before this solution led to identifying a new way to offer a form of sanitiser that would kill up to 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses without the use of alcohol. As a result, EcoHydra was born!
Running since 2004, EcoHydra is a well-established and trusted hand hygiene business whose hand sanitisers are approved by the NHS and with a loyal customer base.

Why Alcohol-free?
Alcohol-based sanitisers can dry out the skin, and with frequent use, may leave hands with microscopic cracks and fissures in the skin which encourage germs to remain and breed. On top of this, these products are highly flammable and can be ineffective against certain germs.
Non-drying
With its BASE Technology® formula that is completely free from alcohol and Triclosan, our hand sanitisers can be used repeatedly throughout the day with no damaging effects to the skin's integrity or pH levels.
Unlike alcohol-based products which can lead to dry, cracked skin (causing further risk of infection!) our products are gentle on all skin types and give longer lasting protection. Containing the natural moisturiser, Aloe Vera, to nourish and care for the skin, our products encourage regular use, as often as needed.
Dermatologically Tested
Our hand sanitisers are now dermatologically tested meaning they are suitable for even the most sensitive of skin.
For those with skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis etc, it is vital that their hand hygiene products are proven to be effective, without any use of alcohol.
We’re proud to say that the full EcoHydra range is also alcohol-free, fragrance-free and contains Aloe Vera to help nourish and moisturise the skin. This means our products will not sting or damage the skin on your hands and is safe to use on children.
Kills up to 99.9999% of Bacteria and Viruses
Independent tests have proved EcoHydra’s efficacy against germs, killing up to 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses within 30 seconds of application.
This makes EcoHydra antimicrobial products up to 1000 times more effective than the average alcohol-based hand hygiene brand! Our hand sanitisers have passed EN 1276, EN 1500, EN 14476, prEN 12054, EN 13704 .
Longer Lasting Protection
EcoHydra hand sanitisers have been shown to provide longer lasting protection. However, this residual activity reduces over time, so regular re-application (e.g. every 30 minutes) should be practised. Proven to kill up to 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses within 30 seconds of application, EcoHydra protects hands for longer than any alcohol-based brands, which can evaporate almost instantly.
This way, EcoHydra ensures peace of mind when you and your loved ones are out and about! Our hand sanitisers have passed a modified PAS 2424.
Child And Baby Friendly
Being alcohol free, EcoHydra hand sanitisers eliminate all risk of flammability and any misguided attempts at intoxication - yes, it does happen!

No Harsh Chemicals
We use a unique BASE Technology® formula, making the full EcoHydra hand sanitiser range both alcohol and triclosan free. This means that our sanitisers will not damage the skin once applied, or intoxicate anyone if accidentally ingested (which is not recommended!).
Our products are safe to use on children and for those with skin conditions as there will be no damaging effects to the skin's integrity or pH levels.
